Jim Smarr wading Aransas Bay.

Jim Smarr comments, "The most exciting Fishing Day I have ever had. The tide washed this Rattlesnake off St. Joseph Island. The only problem was he thought I was an island. I cast to him at about 150' and snagged him just behind the head. I felt that was the only way to control the situation. The hook was just through the skin. The Van Staal reel drag system saved me from being bitten as it is as smooth as glass. I was sure happy to get him on shore to a point where I had the advantage."
